Mundo Spanish School started in 2002. The school offers two locations. Antigua Guatemala and another location in a small town names San Juan del Obispo. The Second location is especially for participants who would like to have a total immersion in language and culture in a rural atmosphere but close to Antigua.
The school has grown in size and is now recognized as one of the best schools in Antigua, with a reputation for high academic standards. Mundo Spanish School offers individual and group courses for all levels, from beginner to advanced levels. The School also offers specialized courses for College Credit through Brookhaven College which you can attain from one of are many programs. The school offer courses for Medical students, Day Care, Social Work, Tourism, Animal Care, Construction and Education. Mundo Spanish School is responsible for the management and coordination of its students and those who wish to volunteer working tightly with Guatemalan volunteer organizations in different fields such as: Medical, Day Care, Social Work, Tourism, Animal Care, Construction and Education.
To complement the academic and volunteer programs, students are offered the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in Guatemalan culture by living with host families in Antigua. The families are chosen for their ability to introduce students to Guatemalan culture and help them to integrate into their new environment. To make sure that the students and volunteers fully appreciate their stay in Guatemala, Mundo Spanish School offers a range of educational and leisure activities.
